Energsmart was founded in 2004 with a goal of providing the WNY market with efficient and comfortable spray polyurethane foam insulation, which was far superior insulation than the fiberglass that was historically used in the region. Since that time, over 5,000 customers in the residential, commercial, and industrial market, have reaped the benefits of foam first-hand from our highly experienced installers. Our AVERAGE employee has over ten years of experience with spray foam, which likely surpasses any of our competitors – by far.

Robert Dionne Jr. is the Owner and President of Energsmart Foam Insulation Company, bringing over two decades of hands-on experience and industry expertise to his work. Raised in the New England area, Bob relocated to Buffalo in the 1990s to attend Canisius College, where he earned his degree in Marketing. What began as a college chapter quickly became a lifelong home, as Bob embraced the Buffalo community and proudly supports its teams as a devoted Bills and Sabres fan.
Following graduation, Bob launched his career in spray foam insulation, developing a deep knowledge of the trade since the early 2000s. His extensive experience has equipped him with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve insulation challenges in existing homes, while also emphasizing the importance of high-quality materials and proper installation in new construction projects. Known for his integrity and customer-first mindset, Bob approaches every project with a commitment to doing what is right and ensuring every customer feels valued.
Outside of his professional life, Bob places great importance on family. He has been married to his wife for 20 years, and together they have raised three sons. His dedication to both his work and his family reflects the same core values of loyalty, hard work, and care that define his leadership and success.
